Initial consultation
An initial consultation is carried out with each new add-on. The add-on cannot be edited or otherwise developed on Upgates until the initial consultation has taken place.
We currently do not provide online consultation in EN language. However, we will be able to answer all the topics listed below, via ticket or on Discord.
Why is an initial consultation done?
We have an initial consultation as a condition for the reason that we clarify the basic functioning of the add-ons on both sides and what we expect from the add-on.
What to prepare for the initial consultation?
Outline of the consultation call:
- Introduction
- Your add-on
- You will introduce us to your company and the add-on that you intend to create and what it will bring to our clients.
- We will clarify what a verified add-on is
- If the developer section did not answer you sufficiently what a verified add-on is, you have the opportunity to ask again and clarify the basics and goal of this add-on.
- Developer pages
- We will show you the Add-on Developer page together.
- We will mention the importance of adhering to the Responsibilities and BestPractices.
- Your add-on
- Technical part
Our developer will be available during the call to answer all your questions regarding the best way to connect your add-on to Upgates.- We will discuss how you plan to handle the Login of an existing client, and how to handle the Registration of a new one.
- Whether your activation process requires an iframe.
- We will gradually show you the individual sections of the add-on in the Marketplace, in which you will create and describe the add-on
- You will outline what data you want to work with
- What data you want to obtain.
- What, on the other hand, you will return to the e-shop.
- Where and how do you plan to deploy Webhooks. Whether the customer can't bypass them.
- Whether there is any dependency of your operation on another add-on without which your service will not work.
- To what extent do you count on multilingualism and multi-domain.
- To what extent do you expect an Upgates client to have multiple e-shops under one email account?
- Whether you already have any Upgates clients.
- If so, they must be informed that along with activating the add-ons, they should also delete their original API accesses so that they do not fall into the paid user part of the API
Don't forget that at any stage of the add-on you can always open a ticket (write on Discord) and ask anything you need or are unsure about. We are always happy to answer any questions, rather than later finding out during the final testing that your add-on does not meet the standards we expect from it.
